The system works by circulating the liquid to be broken down in a system of radiant plates that convert the heat of the fluid into radiant power which is then captured by special quantum cells that convert the light radiation emitted in the infrared range into electric current. This conversion of infrared into electrical energy is essential to remove thermal energy from the system and break down the fluid in question.
The generator is composed of 16 quantum cells of 56 × 56 mm size and can generate up to 200W of electrical power with hot fluid to be blast down at 300 degrees and a cold source at 30 degrees.
The diagram illustrates the electrical production (therefore the thermal abatement power) as the difference between the inlet and outlet temperatures varies.
As can be seen, thermal reductions of up to 5% can be achieved with electricity production equal to 95% of this value.
